It seems to be from Uwajima
I dont know why either. it is always hot inside?
As it is a world of eating information, isn't it good?
I don't understand the meaning of the question.
Saturdays and Sundays are crowded so wait for about 30 minutes.
Red snapper ramen. That's something not too common. You will know when you are near this place by the distinct smell in the vicinity. Had the extra thick tsukemen. The noodle was hard and the dipping sauce was thick and goopy. Didn't sound that good but when combined, the taste and texture is just right (strong). It is a plus that the ticket machine is mostly in English too so foreigners don't have to guess. The staff seems to be well at ease with foreigners and you can get by there with little or no Japanese language skills. Overall, worth a trip and nothing to detract from good ramen.
The hot duck ramen was perfect for a windy night. The duck meat is smoked and very tasty. The deluxe version is 1150Y.
I tried the snapper ramen and I loved the fish broth it tasted so fresh! If you like fish you’ll like the broth. The thin noodles also match the broth making for a light bowl of ramen. The smoked pork was really unique and went really well with the fish broth! highly recommended
A unique thick broth, full of flavour. The smell of red snapper is featured very prominantly and if you are someone who can't bear it, you won't like it. A very niche flavour ramen for those who love fish and bacon.
Love the fish broth. It was a fulfilling meal.
definately worth a try. must eat! first visit the soup, noodles and chaashuu are all cold, second visit they were able to make it hot for you upon request. the texture of the noodles is very delicious. the soup is good too. can add on ã®ã‚Š(seaweed) for only 100yen.
Best fish based ramen in Tokyo. The medium rare thinly sliced smoked charsyuu is amazing as well.
Ticket system upon entry. Line moves pretty fast for place with roughly 20 seats. Fish broth based ramen was smoky and delicious. The deluxe had a soft boiled egg, greens, seaweed and chasso. A lot of food - I couldn't finish the bowl.
Excellent ramen and tsukemen found that. This is a very special raman in snapper soup base. Although we have waited 1 hour, it worths to be waited. Ramen chashu they serve is smoked chashu, special and remarkable. They offer a set with rice and grilled snapper fish meat for us to mix unto the snapper remen after finish our ramen. To conclude, this experience is unique and unforgettable. We will call again and again everytime when we travel to Tokyo for sure.
So very fragrant. While I was actively looking for this store. At the very end of my search, my nose lead me to this place. The soup was wonderful, price is reasonable. However the amount of noodles is too little. Another thing I dislike is that the menu is not clear on which one is their specialty
The place is located out of way from any commercial area in Kinshicho. This place belongs to only who those dare to be different and be the best. Simple ramen? No. The combination of smoked ham is so unique and matching with the delicate touch of fish broth with hint of yuzu. It is so delicious!! Super Good!!
Another popular ramen place in the area. The ramen is quite special because of the fish based soup, which is different from other pork based soup. You can choose normal fish soup and thicker fish soup. Both taste very delicious but personally I would prefer the normal soup base because the thicker fish based soup means more essence of the fish, in other words fishier (not exactly in a good way). The pork meat is very different from what we normally get at other ramen places. You taste the freshness of the meat and the soft texture.
Nice fish base soup ramen!! Lots of people line up even we arrived around 745pm. But only wait about 20 minutes. As usual grab a ticket from the machine and wait. They have English on the machine too. I have try the delxue and my wife just try a regular one. You can also try the risotto one with a bowl of rice together to fill up your stomach. The soup taste real fish soups and not that msg or miso soup. You won't feel thirsty after finished that ramen. But my suggestion don't go for the deluxe one or don't put your meats inside the soup. Or else the meat will override the fish soup original taste since the meat is very very smokey and tasty.
Never in my years of searching for great ramen have I tried a bowl like this. Who knew how much smoked chashu could add such a significant change to ramen? Mengyo does. And it is one amazing juicy, salty, fishy biteful after another. The hearty noodles are no slouch either, nor are the onions or the yuzu. The only minor gripes were the cold, pre-prepared vegetables and the 1.5 hour wait, but easily forgiven and not a mark against them. Quite easily my favorite bowl of ramen in Japan, somehow trumping my love of tonkotsu ramen handily.
Went with the deluxe thick ramen and consider this a seriously great modern ramen spot- worth the wait if there is one- paired well with a beer 👌ðŸ¼
I was really excited to try the snapper ramen, but the smoked pork topping threw off the flavor for me. (and there was a lot of it) Everything else, especially the egg, was divine.
Delicious
Hot fish broth and chewy ramen in a cold winter night.....perfect
Amazing ramen and quick service. Vending machine selection with english. Order the delux!
Slow cooked pork with subtle smoke favor taste delicious. The quantity is too much causing the soup cools down too quick. Noodles is very different from conventional ramen. I like the texture and taste.
The Last time I had fish ramen was a terrible experience so I was reluctant to come here. But now I can only say wow. The broth is very rich and flavorful without being overwhelmingly fishy. Only bad thing might be that the noddle were a bit chewy.
Went for the deluxe thick ramen. This place never disappoints. Top notch
Very interesting bowl of ramen. The whole grain noodles were great, the injected egg was excellent, the smoked meat was never ending, snapped broth was different and good. Overall, it is a good bowl, get there early or be prepared to wait.
Unusually healthier ramen with tender smoked pork meat. The ramen soup is based on snapper fish broth, delicious and light. The only two things could be better are1. There are some fish bones left in the fish meat.2. The noodle itself could be chewier.
Incredible bowl of Ramen, especially for people who like fish. The broth and slightly thicker noodles stole the show for me. I opted for the egg as well and it was perfectly cooked, infused with snapper oil, and absolutely delicious. The line for this place starts pretty early but if you arrive about 10 minutes before opening, I think you’ll be fine on most says. I honestly didn’t enjoy the pork in the dish as much, more so because of the quantity. I felt with so much pork it could overshadow my favorite parts of the bowl.
Very good snapper ramen place. Snapper broth with noodles infused with snapper meat, topped with smoked pork meat and half boiled egg, simple yet delicious.
Super unique ! My first time having fish based ramen and you can smell it from outside. If you’re not into fish, don’t come here ( you might find the smell overwhelming ). The pork was roasted on cherry wood and you get the hint of smokiness when you’re eating it. There is English on the ticket machine, so don’t worry. Pictured here is the deluxe one. Yum !
Lovely fish soup noodle with fresh pork. Big portion but definitely need to finish the last delicious drop of soup before you leave. Yummy.
Madai ramen is the best in the area, the duck shio bowl across the street was also great. Will keep coming back whenever I’m in kinshicho
Absolutely loved the ramen. Super tasty, very affordable and huge portion. What more can you ask. Be prepared to wait quite some time to get in.
Unique bowl of ramen with red snapper as the main ingredient in the broth. You could smell the fish as you walk past the restaurant but I'm happy to report that the bowl of ramen itself is not fishy. I got the deluxe ramen which came with a snapper juice infused soft-boiled egg, extra sakura-smoked chashu topped with yuzu, spinach and nori. The whole bowl was great and different. If you're a big fan of ramen and fish, this is definitely worth trying.I came here before opening at 10:30 on a Monday and was first in line. Right before opening, there were enough people lined up to fill all the seats and then some. If you arrived at 11, I'd imagine you'd just have to wait about 15-20 minutes, which isn't bad at all. Ordering is done via the usual vending machine and it does have English translations.
Very delicious ramen
Creamy fish soup and a ridicolous ammount of meat. Can you have both quality and quantity? Absolutely. I struggles to finish the bowl but I left extremly satisfied.
If you like fish soup, then I will recommend you.
I ate a deluxe ramen with sea bream. It had several toppings, an ajitama, volumed pork and sea bream. It was super size for me but very delicious.
Very nice ramen! The soup base is clear and made with fish. Together with their smoked ham. It wad something different from what i had. Staff spoke English too and helped me with the ticketing machine.
Waited outside 30 minutes before entering and order using machine. 1000丹for most snapper ramen. Waited standing for 15 minutes before ramen ready, sit down on long table to eat. Lots of smoked pork and ramen. Fish soup too salty for Canadians like me.
Fantastic fish soup base ramen. Open at 11. We arrived 30 mins before it open. We were the first place. People start showing up 15 mins before open. Not that much people if you go early. My wife had the deluxe thick soup ramen and i had the deluxe think soup dipping ramen. I feel like the regular soup ramen taste better than the dipping ramen.
Tokyo No.1 Ramen based on local magazine, fish soup with smoky smell is probably the only one in Tokyo. Local Japanese will prefer the thick soup one but if in my view original soup is the best.
Good for foreigners too!
Best ramen in this area! Clear fish broth with a lot of meat which you can enjoy every bite of it! This ramen shop has English ticketing machine and some of them can also speak English which they can easily help you if you require any additional request. There is a definitely a queue which you can expect to wait for a minimum of 30min during that time you can enjoy the staff preparing! Will definitely recommend if you are close by!
Found this place on Google map and am glad I found it. Very special soup of snappers. I had the tsukemen with extra smoked chasu and enjoyed every bit of it. Be prepared for a short wait though.
one of the best in tokyothe slow cooked and smoked pork taste very goodand it matches with the soup very well
Very delicious ramen.
Enjoyed the noodles and the toppings, but was a bit disappointed at the soup.
Fish broth is very flavorful. Smokey, thick and with lots of small but of fish in the broth. The pork is fall apart tender. More smoked ham like than cha siu like. Must try if you are in the area.
A long wait, worth it. The sea bream broth is thick and rich, good to the last drop. They use, it seems, soba noodles, which the normal amount is plenty. The chashyu, at an additional charge, is thinly sliced smoked pork roast. They add a touch of grated yuzu rind for a touch of zest. All in all, a very delicious ramen. The Japanese folk music played in the background lends an air of a small country shop, nice and cozy. Just wish there was an English menu.
waited 55 mins to get seat and ordered the deluxe ham ramen. the ham was fatty and very salty. the fish broth was good.
The smoked pork is beyond excellent, layered from raw to fully-cooked. Noodles are made of 100% whole wheat and the Madai broth is the highlight which it doesn't stink of fish but offers a quite fresh taste. From the veggies to broth, every goes well with each other. The whole ramen is light-weighted but satisfying.
